So you are interested in a tree from TreesMedford…

TreesMedford is once again giving away trees for people's yards in South Medford, Hillside, Wellington, and Glenwood, (south of Salem St or the Mystic River), the hottest areas of Medford.  We are also offering trees at a reduced cost to residents in cooler areas of Medford who want to help grow the city’s canopy and support our mission. In those areas the cost is $50, which is well below the actual cost of about $150. All trees come with a watering bag, soil amendment and gel to keep the roots moist in transit. If you would like to further increase Medford's tree canopy and cool off your neighborhood, we ask that your contribution be above that amount.

Make sure that your yard is large enough to accommodate the fully mature tree and you are able to water the tree so that it will thrive. If you live in an apartment, you must have the permission of your landlord. These trees may not be planted in the sidewalk strip next to the street except on private ways.
